Made-to-Order Takoyaki, Fresh Off the Griddle

Takoyami is one of the only places in Calgary cooking takoyaki fresh in a molded pan instead of serving it from frozen packs. Our Classic Takoyaki arrives piping hot under takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, corn, bonito flakes, nori flakes, green onion and seaweed powder, with spicy, cheesy, shrimp and crab variations plus a loaded Ultimate Takoyaki. Beyond the griddle you will find ramen, our Beef Japadog on a brioche bun, and warm custard-filled Taiyaki for dessert.

About Us

A Cozy Japanese Street Food Shop in Northeast Calgary

Takoyami Japanese Street Foods started as a home-kitchen catering and takeout operation and opened our first shop at 114B, 2323 32 Ave NE on April 9, 2022 after Calgarians kept asking for authentic, made-to-order takoyaki. Our seating area is small and welcoming — the kind of casual, kid-friendly spot that works for a quick lunch, a family dinner or a weekend treat, minutes from Winston Heights-Mountview, Mayland Heights, Renfrew and Bridgeland. Our menu is seafood-driven, so most takoyaki contains octopus, shrimp or crab, and dishes may contain seafood, egg, dairy, wheat and soy.
